Hello everyone thankyou so much for taking the time to read my post. As a child my grandfather used to tell myself and the rest of his kids and grand kids a poem well I belive it was a poem howeverit seems now when he died the poem died with him. If anyone can help me I would be so greatfull. All I can remember from it is as follows
A hundred and twenty years ago over the heath clad height galloping dick the highway man went riding in the night.
So does anyone have any idea?
look forward to your replys

Is the only Highwayman poem I know of, although I was sure there was one by tennyson?
I found this information, 'Galloping Dick' by Almey St John Adcock
, but not where to find a copy of the poem.
I remember this line from a poem when I was at school and it was about Sir Francis Drake playing bowls, and he's told the Spanish Armada is coming up the English Channel.. however he says or someone says...
bowl 'em down harder, here comes the Armada.
Be grateful for any info.
