I thought this poem was by Shakespeare but I can't find it any help would be appreciated. Thank you
Come you near or go you far
light from a candle or flickering star?
See what you will or so you think but
is water sweet before you drink?
Who can know from truth or lies
when can a man believe his eyes?
Suspect what’s known to mortal senses for our nature vaults all mystic fences that stand between which is and seems and back we are to truth or dreams.
Angela, it's definitely not Shakespeare. There are some phrases which indicate that it's probably 20th century and most likely late 20th century and thereby still under copyright. That means you probably won't find it on the internet.
How did you come by it? Do you have a librarian, or teacher who could help you place it?
Les
Where did you find it, here?:

Looks like a blog of some kind, hosted by Everone's Internet in Houston, TX (USA). I did not immediately see how to contact the blogger, but perhaps reading your way around the site will yield something.
