A friend just asked me what poem the following phrase came from:
"You must believe that those you love, love you." Does anyone know the answer to that? Thanks
There's more to this poem than quoted. I purchased it 35 years ago in a drug store and have lived and taught my children by it. The first stanza is:
Live each day to the fullest. Get the most from each hour, each day and each age of your life. Then you can look forward with confidence, and back without regrets.
The next stanza missing comes after Believe that those you love, love you and goes:
Forget what you have done for your friends and remember what they have done for you. Disregard what the world owes you, and concentrate on what you owe the world.
I just wish I knew more about S H Payer and could thank him for these few words that have guided my life.
