I saw that quotation (in one of its variations) on a greeting card, attributed to "Souza."
But I was never able to verify the quotation. I did manage to rule out John Phillip Souza -- though he may have said, "Dance like you don't have blisters on your feet from marching band practice" -- and narrow it down to a couple of poets/writers, one of them Portuguese.
But now I have doubts about even that, because I found a quote from "Alfred D. Souza" posted NEXT TO an anonymous quote about dancing like there's nobody watching... so it's possible that the attribution got stretched a bit.
