Kite Runner Poetry

Hey you guys!
I need some super quick help.
We just got finished reading Kite Runner in class.
And now I have to actually write a 14 line poem of one of the characters.
I am not a poet whatsoever.
So if anyone could help me out and point me in the right direction of how to actually write a sonnet, it would be truly appreciated!

What is 'Kite Runner' that you read? Is it a poem or a film script? If a poem, can you post a copy?
