summer to fall poem grandpa said

Hi,
I just found out today that my grandpa died and I am trying to remember a poem that he used to say to me sometimes.
It may also be a very old song lyric and grandpa loved to play alot of intruments and sing. The poem is set in the fall and the leaves are falling and he is thinking of her and as the leaves fall to the ground "and some are (red?) and some are gold. He is remembering his special someone and he is thinking of her remembering her and the summer love.

I have searched alot online and this is what I found, which has some similarity but its not the right one, the feel and sound are different. The poem I am looking for is innocent, filled with memory, and it repeats the part of leaves falling some are this and some are that with a rhythm.

(A good find but not the right poem...)
"The falling leaves drift by the window
The autumn leaves of red and gold....
I see your lips, the summer kisses"

- Johnny Mercer, lyrics, Autumn Leaves (Nice but not the one)

If anyone thinks they may know I would be very grateful for any poems you could suggest.

Happy, sorry to hear about your grandpa.

The Homework Assistance isn't the best forum to post this enquiry in. You'd do better to post in Lost Poetry.

I'll keep a lookout for anything that might be what you are looking for. The first that came to mind was the old song "Silver Hairs Among The Gold"

but that doesn't refer to falling leaves, so it's probably not it.
