Hey i just joind this forum...checked out some of the Stuff posted on Peter Skrzynecki which i found to be awesome info for my Year 12 HSC assessment exams in 2 weeks...XD

anyway i have this Oral Assessment in 2 weeks and i need to do a speech no more than 3 mins, and present ur view of the journey throught explanation of one "core poem (which im doing Skrzynecki's Crossing the Red Sea) and its relationship to a related text of your own choosing." YOUR RELATED TEXT MUST HAVE BEEN PUBLISHED/RELEASED in the LAST 12 MONTHS...

the RELATED text i need some help there, not sure what i should choose....cause this has to b released with the last 12 months i have trouble in finding sources there....i was going to do 'ONLY THE HEART' by Brian Caswell and David Chem about Viet Boat people coming to Australia- perfect but its like 5 years old...

another idea i had was 'Pirates of the Carraibean- Dead mans Chest' but sure sure if thats a good idea...

So if you know any good poems/News paper articles/books/movies...etc that are Realised in last 12 months and that i can related it with JOURNEY and Skrzynecki's Crossing the Red Sea...please post your texts....

Btw when was 911- The journey song written?

Still considering some of the movie choices there...not sure if it is a good idea though...

they are sort of looking for concepts of all 3 types of journeys - Physical, Imaginative, and Inner.

There are plenty of song lyrics to illustrate any one of the 3 types of journeys. Just type in the title of the song/artist into Google [www.google.com] and then go to [www.allmusic.com] allmusic to look up the album and date the song was written.

Should be simple to visit your local library and use their search engine to look for Keyword "journey". I just tried mine and got over 2000 results. Scan for the 2005/2006 dates and pick one. Or, limit your search with journey and poetry if that is what you need.

it's unlikely you will find something on the internet, as it will be copyrighted :-) So, you will have to go to a library anyway...
