Dunno, what's a subversive element? Something/someone trying to overthrow the (then) established government? Or a character like Iago trying to subvert Othello's love for Desdemona?

Yuck, that is no help to me at all. Since everything is found in nature, it boggles the mind to think what the teacher thinks might be 'against' it. Perhaps the 'fatal flaw' in a particular character's makeup (nature)?

So, what fatal flaw would Othello have? His trust in Iago? The fatal flaw in Caesar'character would be his ambition? His failure to believe the soothsayers? Perhaps Brutus's feelings of guilt about the assassination is his fatal flaw?

I know in classical tragedies, the hero would meet misfortune due to a flaw in his character. Maybe this is what your teacher wants? I must say I find the term subversive element vague and his explanation as well.

So, what is the flaw of julius caesar? His love for cleopatra?
