Can someone please tell me how this is an imaginative journey and the central thesis. i have an idea, but i seem to be waffling on about nothing for the thesis. any help would be much appreciated

I would think the theme would have to do with people not being able to elminate humans emotions such as greed, jealously and hurt ...regardless of the situation or time frame they live in.
The people in the movie try to get away from the murder, greed and the painful aspects and human emotions they do not want to experience ...but Lucas gets stabbed by another man out of jealousy and hurt.
You cant stop the emotions that overcome a human because wherever you go and whatever you do ...there will always be pain, hurt, greed and etc.
You could also relate the theme in a political sense ...because the elders keep hidden they're secrets and try to scare the rest of the community with the lies they have made about the forest.
