                                   "Amazing Grace"<br />

A purple haze mists the far off peaks,
Diamonds encrusted in a blue velvet sky,
All natures glories bustle in secret speaks,
Amidst this serenous euphoria here I lie.

The crispy green strands brush my sides,
The peaceful winds blow their hypnotic whistle,
A navy wave washes out the white tides,
Sandy grains sweep far towards the thistle.

An orange glow peeks from under its sleep,
Natures calling Morning with its familiar song,
Slowly from this tranquil beauty I do creep,
For this perfect twilight is what I long.

A one hit wonder, I guess.

Thanks again for dredging one up Les. Maybe one hit wonder is not quite it.

I think this place is a bend in an old river...

There are people and things passing by daily and never seen.

Some live on the banks of the river and seldom miss a day of communion. Generous and observant people.

There are those who float by and call out something interesting and then float away never to be heard again (marie). Thankfully, those who live on the river remember them to others.

There are some who come and dump their trash and leave, but it is tolerated.

Then there are the timid fish who surface once in a while and make a splash on the surface or leave a message, but are not willing to stay in view for too long before going back under the log. They don't really leave.

Guess which one is me.
