Envy
I watch him,
this man I love,
breathing out
breathing in;
A peaceful motion
like being rocked
on the ocean.
He is on a voyage
Somewhere deep-
Deep in sleep;
I marvel at his ease
to reach the land of dreams
and peace;
He looks so content,
No care in the world
dare disturb him;
I am impelled to
Kiss his sweet brow
and give him
just a little pinch.

Typical woman, can't leave well enough alone. lol An excellent description of this common activity.

Ell, whatever you do, do not read the Dorianne Laux poem I just posted on the other forum.

Stephen:
Just got back from the "other" forum...appropriate for the day after valentines...that love stuff just needs to keep on working!!
Ell
Les: Thanks for reading---did you say "typical"woman?? Well, I say stir the pot once in while--just to keep it interesting!
Ell
Ell, this is my husband, 100%.........you nailed this one. Especially loved the last line! kam
Ell, Warm and fuzzy, so appropriate for Valentines Day. jhs
Kellygirl--thanks for the read and I knew someone would really understand that little pinch.
and JHS--thanks for reading---and hugs to you!
Ell
that made me smile... thanks.
Lucky guy, to have a woman who thinks of him and looks at him this way.
Very lucky.
Thanks for reading---and yes, that man is lucky--cause he is muchly loved!! Ell
Ell,
Loved this one. Hope that you and your amazing daughters are well. I miss you all. Hugs from the cold distant Northlands
Brucefur: Miss you too! We are all well...the youngest is working her way through paperwork to be accepted into the Peacecorp..graduates this May from college--and the "other" one is working through "abandonment issues" with her sister (I am so funny). We will all survive the separation--two years is merely a speck in the scheme of things--and the experience for "skye" will be priceless....you need to visit us here at the "forum" more often...we really do miss you!
Hugs back at ya!!
Ell
Ell-
Don't tell him that stuff! He'll think we're all sentimental and needy!
As accurate as that may be, we don't want to scare him off. No, I think we should remain aloof. The world needs more loofs.

here is Ell - back to aloof---
Anybody heard from Linda, lately?
Les
No darn it, nor most anyone else who replied to this post. I hear from JP some, but not Kellygirl, Jack,: etc.
Had dinner with her in Denburg several years ago. Not long after the tsunami in SE Asia, we discussed that, but I couldn't find her number last time I found Denver.
