Beat Once More
--------------------
I am but one mere mortal,
Yet filled with two beings.
Eyes like the hunter,
Hands of the warrior.
Frozen heart which beats no more,
Waiting patiently for the prey.
Soul which glows in darkness;
Silent as the monsoon.
Yearning to break the chains,
That hold me down.
I am but one mere mortal,
Yet filled with two beings.
Eyes of an angel,
Hands of the healer.
Hoping my heart to beat once more.
A golden coin that is buried beneath the dirt,
For not even the the brightest sun can catch a glimpse.
A treasure only shown to the crawlers.
I am but one more mortal,
Yet filled with two beings.

interesting poem! with the two beings your heart will beat again and again! Better to have been beaten than to never have had the pleasure
of the game!

Great, I really liked it. Sorry I'm not a critic, either like something or don't, this I liked.
Ya...YA!! That's it! I had lost the feeling of bitterness...and you gave it back to me. It is a wonderful contemplation about the Janus in everyone of us...one question. Was this written out of a more superficial play of thought or does it run deeper? Because if, it would add a very tragic background...
