The Troubles
‘Nobody knows the trouble I’ve seen;
Nobody knows but me,’
Says the old song,
And you know, everybody
Who has ever lived
Could truly sing that song.
Nobody knows anybody else’s trouble
And nobody is without troubles.
We forget that
Every day we walk down the street --
This is no secret.
It is the universal secret.
So true, one of the wealthiest of my friends had the hardest row to hoe of anyone I grew up with. Nice little ditty here, Pete.
