My Version of Mt. Everest

I did not know:

This is still wide open,
The window.
There is still music,
In my memory.
There were three images
Inspired by…a frying pan…
I almost forgot.

Why do I write poetry?-- people sometimes ask. They sometimes ask, why do you climb the mountain? --The answer is the same: because it is there.

Peter, I'm chuckling to myself...because people sometimes ask me, why don't you write some more. And I answer: "to level the playing field."
