Errant History

Kropotkin bemoaned
That the two
Have so often happened together

– revolution and violent uprising –

That observers
Tend to mistake
The one

For the other.

The greatest revolution the world has ever known, the information age, continues to progress quite nicely. There's a reason why people in communist China buy more Gucci bags than people in the U.S., or any other so-called democratic country. Economic parity in the world will keep occurring as the bottom rung of all societies see what the other parts of the world have.

I think we could end up preaching to each other forever, Les. But it is always good to hear what you think of things.

Pete, at our age I'd say we've both earned the right to pontificate a little.

Keep barking at cars, and I'll keep howling at the moon.
