The Bad Guys Are Stealing Part of Someone’s Brain Again

This poem comes with a lighted magnifying glass
Although I keep holding it over the wrong text
I look at the New York Times to find
They don’t know what is happening either
I look into the history of my country
And I find lies and the babble of tangled tongues
I look into the TV schedule and I get a headache again
I look into my journal, only to be embarrassed by my narcissism
I look into my computer only to find my spellchecker
Can’t support English English
But I am lucky to have such a fine instrument
I will never need to go to sleep

Leaving me the work

Immersed in night noise
Torn into
What makes itself heard
Beyond my voice

Given the current political climate, Peter the following lines are very apropos:

I look into the history of my country
And I find lies and the babble of tangled tongues

Thanks, Les. I do feel miserable these days every time I read the news. You know, like the Beatles said: "I read the news today, o boy...'

amo et avanti,

Peter

btw, I was watching 'Fringe' on the tele when I wrote this...hence, the title.
