Who are my vets from the old days? (Frivolous)
Posted by: Lady of the Evening (208.54.94.---)

Forgive me for creating a non-poetry thread, but I can't seem to reply in the Frivolous #88 one.

Who are my vets? I see Les, JH, Lgreen, Johnny (JohnnyBoy aka JohnnySansCulo?), a little Bruce... wondering if anyone else is re-registered under different usernames?

Glad to be back!

Lady of the Night

Lady, what we have here are absentee landlords, which is never good for the neighborhood.

Most people have left here because of frustration with the administrators who can't, or won't, be contacted via e-mail. As to your question about re-registering, the system won't let you use your old name in any way, shape or form. Which is too bad, because many of us would like to be able to go back and edit, or access old poems. Good to see you posting again.

Les

You're back. That must mean trouble's afoot.

Les,

Too bad the admins are ghosts Is that why there seems to be so many problems connecting to the database? Or is that an issue with my computer? And I figure my new name is close enough and of course I sign with Lady of the Night. And it's good to be bad and see familiar faces smiling smiley

Perci,

You're still here, so that must mean trouble never left tongue sticking out smiley How are you?

I don't know any of you. But I just joined. Never ever been here before. What exactly is a Cosmic Poetry..

Exceedingly well, my dear. My demons mostly vanquished, enslaved, and forced to do my bidding. At least, that's what they let me think. But, again, I maintain that my existence is the bane of trouble, rather than the boon. That there are so few that agree with me, I don't know whether to take as a good sign or a bad. And you? I imagine some odd twist would send you back here.

Thedyingwillbleed,

Cosmic Poetry is a website designed by Boo Cipher and a fellow poet (not sure if Synny's around this site?). www.cosmicpoetry.org Welcome to the Mule, by the way.

Perci,

You may not be the boon of trouble, but I highly doubt you're the bane of it. Yeah, I was just thinking I wanted to read one of my old poems the other day and was happy to find my Anthology's still on here, then I thought maybe I should come back around. Hopefully get my juices flowing again, I've written about 15-20 poems since I left back in what, 05? Sad, really.

Oh, I'm the bane of it alright. I just keep finding more once I've nullified the most recent batch. Gives me something to do.

Is that why there seems to be so many problems connecting to the database?

I'm afraid so, that and the fact that all the current administrators are concerned about is having a site to collect Google money for search clicks.

Me? I thought of coming back as Old Miseryguts. But others are more entitled to that. You know who you are.
So, I'm misterF.

Sorry, I'm not sure who you are, MisterF. Do I know you?

Critiques always welcome.

Les,

That's too bad to hear. You'd think they'd have made you an Admin by now, what with all of the work and time you've put into making this site what it is.

Critiques always welcome.

Hi:

I am one who grew weary of the constant database problems and gave up coming here for quite awhile. Some of the many former logins that I can remember using were joet, tango32, tangojoe, and jerseyjoe. Les and Peter have been true troopers, keeping the place open during the most dire times. It is good to hear from Lady, Sarah, Perci, Kris, and Frosty and to see a number of newbies posting. I've heard some rumblings from my muse who has also been on extended vacation for quite some time, so, who knows, I may even post a poem or two in the coming weeks...if the database cooperates, that is.

Joe

I'm always around. Where is everyone? I thought we had a new location or some such?
