music give us, if for only
a few moments,
passage from this cruel world.
it gives our imagination the
implements to build
an ideal landscape.

my pillow, too
is tear-stained ...

nights i have stared into the darkness,
imagining a little warm house,
protected by the shadows of trees.
a place where there is no cruelty,
only tenderness, and
the sound of your laughter.

a room full with our breath.
our shared breath ...

you are the keeper of
my deepest secret.
i trust you completely with it.
i trust you completely with
all of my words, and
my questions.

i know you don't have the answers,
i have always known ...

i will always listen, and
try to understand. you,
are a complex tapestry and
you weave a new thread each day.
understanding you,
helps me to know myself.

i too, am a mystery,
to others, yes - and myself ...

you haven't hurt me, and
i wish that you would put my words
in a place where they will not hurt you.
that is not what they are intended for,
they are meant to remind you,
that love can exist.

yes, even in this cold place,
it does exist ...

with words and with song,
we can express
what hides within us.
expression, without shame and,
expression,
free of fear.

and the understanding that a world,
one that is relevant, exists for us.

this is beautiful...

my favorite elements:

a room full with our breath.
our shared breath ...

with words and with song,
we can express
what hides within us.
expression, without shame and,
expression,
free of fear.

and the understanding that a world,
one that is relevant, exists for us.

ahhh. I know that world. It's the kind of place we all want to live in.
