The Fault I Found Was Mine

You stole the light that floods my soul,
And now I'm drowning in the dark.
I'm left in limbo less than whole,
Without the stone to start a spark.

You found this fool at fever's height
And bled the best right out of me;
A brilliant, shining beacon light
Who suffered for sincerity.

Your beauty bold did bend and blur
Profound perceptions primed with pride.
A goddess gifted to endure,
Her own depraved deceit inside.

My loving heart, reborn to hate,
A legacy that lingers still.
My crumbling core was crushed by fate
Upon my weak and weary will.

Your programmed lies, upon lush lips,
Made me believe what I received.
Seductive lust, for sultry hips-
Corruption of a mind deceived.

I knew the day you drove away
(to find another fool to use)
Sadistic was your wanton way,
To first find love and then abuse.

The fault, I found, was mine alone,
For you, my dear, were but the tool,
Who threw this dumb old dog a bone
To dance and prance and play the fool.

Hi Les. I found my pen. It was stuffed up under the keyboard.
I'm still analyising this event as meaningful in some way but
probably in a way I don't recognize. lol. Thank you Les. tom

I've had a chance to go back and read some of your older postings here lately Tom. I couldn't read very well, during the period in which you originally posted them, due to an eye disorder. But now that I'm able to catch up on my reading, I will "bump" a few of those older posts to the top.

Les
