The Truth Of God

The days of praise for every vessel filled
with weight of ancient knowledge will be stilled
as weight of brand new paradigms within
refuse abuse of man by mythic sin.

Now family helps sin begin its way
inside a child upon arrival day
for they know evil filled all souls with sin
when apple-grapple Eve made Adam grin.

The trouble with a hunger for the fruit:
it is a metaphor in mad pursuit
of truth that blames the weaker will of Man
for weakness in the weaker Master plan

There are some great lines in here Tom, I enjoyed the read. I believe man creates God in his own image.

I've had a moral debate with myself for some time. One that, should I come to a definite conclusion, will determine my future actions dramatically. It is clearly immoral to force change in thought on others, displayed by the various religions and tyrants throughout time. But when those to be converted are willing, despite any real understanding of their situation, how far should they be taken?

The only conversion I look forward to is from decimals to fractions...and back again.

or fahrenheit to celcius?

easyeverett,

I can't say I understand what is being said with the poem, although it would seem to be dispelling a belief?

Mr. P.

The real problem for our race since this invention of religion, at least, has been people deciding important matters for other people. My advice is to leave the willing alone.

love,

Peter

Quite unfair to blame religion for man's problems.

Not I, that's why man invented law and government.

If I told you all the secrets of the Morningstar
With a grandness facing skyward and receiving and unwound
Then the tendency would be to have your mouth ajar
In conformity with gazes that have shifted to the ground

For the whitewash and the blackmail are uneven now
As to which way this is leaning all depends on when it’s seen
For we must have been as good or bad as them somehow
And the answer “M” is truly now the one that lies between
