not everything interesting
is full of color
I find myself residing
so often in the paleness
of the sky at dusk
fading from blues
and beginning the
slow sinking
in to grays
before it
gives way
tonight
I will study
the stillness and
the calming quiet
that makes room for thoughts
that would otherwise be trampled by the day

I like the ebb and flow of this one, Sherry,
Peter
thanks, Peter...just trying to unplug the block.
I can relate to this, Sherry, especially
fading from blues
and beginning the
slow sinking
in to grays

Frosty:
I like the introspective tone here. We all need to sit back, take a deep breath, and reflect. We don't do that enough (at least, I don't). Thanks for the reminder.
Joe
Frosty, this is awesome. Every time I read it, I get to the end and realize I have not taken a breath.
I love how it closes down and then opens again.
Very well done.
Good read, Frosty, I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
Les
Mary,Joe, Aaron and Les, thanks for taking the time to read and comment. I haven't come up with anything at all in quite a long time, so I'm happy that something finally came out and that you guys think it's decent...
Sherry
bump for its attention to what we otherwise might miss.

I like this poem. Very fluid.
Thanks, MG. I appreciate the read.
