out of place
a water-stained
Japanese print
from a long-time friend
cannot find its place
in my room
this morning
but I know it belongs here.

Peter, take a bus to golden gate park. Walk to the tea garden and sit there for a while. When you return home there will be a place for your print.

Thanks, Les. That is exactly what I did in 1967.
The poem, however, is about the poet and not about the print. I am busy reading The Politics of Experience, by R.D.Laing, and am hypersensitive about my normal feeling of alienation as a modern [post-modern] person.

Peter, I was there last year about this time of year. It's just as nice there now as it ever was.
I don't care much for politics, in gardens or in poetry.
Les
me neither, Les. But politics, sexuality and spirituality imbue all [each and every] human experiences, so I try to keep my mind open to those aspects of each event.
amo,
Peter
