The silver lady atop the mountain
The Dragon of the West guards the fountain
The Dark has awoken for
The Reader has spoken
The legendary wizard has arisen
The powerful magic no longer imprisoned
The High Court of Magic vigilant as ever
The Reader and the Warrior embark on their endeavor
The Cygnus gone and not to be found
The world's future yet altogether bound
The two Messengers are all that stands
The Reader and Warrior all depend
The sword yet to be uncovered
The Time is short for it to be discovered
The single Warrior against the beast
The wrong Time to meet a priest
The last but alas not least
The vital Time to head for East
The final stand with betrayal too common
The end and death of the Dark and demon
Wrote this poem in one sitting describing a story I'm working on. Hope you all like it because I'm just simply an aspiring writer and all. Hey, I'm not past twenty yet okay?? Haha, just please comment and all, I'd love to have feedback in case I'm heading the wrong way. PS this poem was inspired by the author of the series "The Dark is Rising" by the poem she wrote.
SiennaRider,
Keep at it. Every poem is preparation for the next.

Sienna, I like the half rhyme of "common" and "demon." Perhaps you'll want to experiment further with that. Emily Dickinson used it much. ~ Cynara
