Say You!

Say you love sound
found in the city
late at night

Say you love
crime and siren whine
of metal people watching signs

under
artificial light

Say you love
abstraction's
wail at suicide

a master fashion
flash-bulb irony

in
black and white
genocide

Say you love
Kafka dogma traps
that play at dreams

too long in parity
with literary
death's
associate decay

Say you love
to love
yourself without a doubt
of selfish thought

Say you love
to gather
all the sick and
seedy people
in the city of disease

Say you love
to disassemble what is found
or does resemble

what you think without a thought
or thought before you think.

Say you love
the future
and
democracy
is dead

without
a
hope
for
resurrection

or the scope
of its rejection in the section you are fed

Say you.........

little doubt there's them as do... but none o' me.

I prefer the slience of being at least 15 miles out of town. Stars to neon, and solitude to solice.

Ya done good on the pome, but, it creates a scary situation in this mind. I'm currently in Serria Vista Az and it's FAR too big.

To paraphrase one of the great orators of our time, "That city's so big, no one lives there anymore"

Yes, I think I know exactly what you mean Merc. I remember Las Vegas when my father took me there in 1961 as a HS graduation trip. The stars in that desert sky were magnificant back then even with the abbreviated original strip. Then I remember staying at the Bellagio (sp?) for my 25th wedding anniversary. Shit, you couldn't see the sky during the day because of pollution or during the night because of pollution and to many bright lights. Unfortunately everything evolves and as you well know Merc, the results are never predictable and usually replace those things we would keep. t.
