Death Mask

Your cold smile is the rictus sign
The mark of death's dark hand,
To any who would be your man.
It takes happy away, and makes all nil,

Like you've just swallowed some bitter pill,
Sour and jaded is your face,
Your hollow soul's an empty place,
That radiates warning to all who'd care,

"This heart is dead - I feel nothing there.."

dawlypaul :

Hard to know who to feel more for - the speaker or the person spoken of - or both.

Good. Feeling. Good phrasing.

Life's a bummer sometimes.

Take care,

Peter
