What I Know about the Sparrows

They went to New England
To listen to the moon.

Nice sentiment, Peter, if I were a sparrow I'd fly to St. Louis, and perch on the arch.

I'd go to Montana and eat grain. Until I was shot by some snot nosed brat with a Daisy Red Ryder BB gun.

Happens in the north woods of New Hampshire and Vermont, too. Got to watch out for them b-b brains. Nice to hear from ya,

Peter

There is something soothing about thinking of sparrows and uttering the word. I like your poem, Peter.

The sun is shining again today.
I shall rent my warmth from the sparrow.

Selene and the Sparrows,
they drove to the Narrows
and waited around at the tolls

Apollo, the Swallows
and all that what follows
are raking it in at the coals

Did you ever smell mothballs? Yes?? How did you get the little legs apart?

Tiny, tiny tweezers.
