Recession

Hear the petal open,
Feel the ocean ebb,
See the eagle rise again.

Watch the stoning of the crow.

The pigeons now feed the cats.
The mob swarm wild, like lions.

The rabbit catches sight of lights
and says good night.

I like the theme of this one Dan, though I'm not sure I fully follow all your references.

Iridescent1,

I too like this little piece, but am not too disturbed that I can't quite figure it out. Johnny has trained us in the obscure aspects of a good meal. I like your recipe.

Thanks for sharing,

Peter

Thank you all for your responses, its always nice to receive feedback.

Tom - thanks for that, I am leaning towards brevity as a particular of my current style.

Les - the references are harder to spot, I think, because the perspective keeps switching sides and scale. But I'm not going to explain, sorry!

Mr. P - thats the second time you've welcomed me now, so a double thank you is in order. I do feel well welcomed.

Peter - thanks for saying you liked it. Your comment certainly raised a smile and put me in mind of mango bread, the last good recipe I made.

Dan

It's sort of like bread pudding. Really good, wouldn't mind seconds, but no idea what is in it.
