Tom,
Do not over-react to Ian's criticism. He thinks through what he says about our work, and he is worth listening to and responding to. But you should not let anyone's criticism keep you from posting here when you want. You yourself can always choose what to post and what not to.
If you see the postings I have made over the years you will find I post experimental work quite often. When I signed up for a graduate seminar in poetry with Jerry Rothenberg he asked each student why she or he belonged in the class. After all the young hot shots had explained that they'd been published her or had gotten awards there, I told them I should be in the class because I had been writing BAD poetry for forty years, therefore, I knew what a BAD poem was from experience, and they might need to learn what that meant. When we published the class group project at the end of the semester, they chose my poem to lead off the collection. I still write experiments every time I post, and you have the right to do the same.
Good luck,
Peter

Tom:
I'm not sure to which of Ian's critiques/criticisms you are responding, but I am surprised that something he wrote would cause you to feel the need to leave this forum. Over the years, I've found Ian to be a reliable commentator who delivers his critiques in a most caring fashion. And please be assured that I am not inferring that you are wrong to feel as you do because no one is qualified to judge another's emotions. However, I do hope you will reconsider your decision and begin posting again. You have been a refreshing addition to this forum and I, for one, appreciate what you've already brought to us with your poetry and commentary.
Joe

Dear Tim,
I too second every word Joe posted! We do enjoy your poetry and presence! Hang in!
Tom, Here's my response to Terry on my thread. It pertains to how much space you take on the board.
amo,
Peter
Merc,
re: Tom pushing people off. I figure he's old enough to be able to know that he is doing that and that it is not fair to all those who only post once in a while. I guess, Terry, that your mentioning to me is sufficient to motivate me to say something to him. As an anarchist, I'm sure you know how much I hate being anyone else's cop or daddy or conscience, but I will take on the task.
Thanks for stopping by to read the poem.
amo,
Peter
