When Odysseus danced
the calypso with Theseus
everyone thought it was rather quite rich

But when old Aristotle
would step on the throttle
philosophy vroomed like a sonofabitch

Achilles wore his shoes too tight
and passion kept him up at night
he slept with men in light of day
and no one ever called him gay

The burning ports are hotter in the sponging iron rift
I’m parroting an omnivore to give myself a lift

My faults they number oh so high I barely can afford
To count the correspondences that bring us all aboard

I compromised what I surmised and now I’m smoking phonics
The fault it lies not in the sky but personal tectonics

And when Achilles made a tent he saw the seconds ticking
He knew some heels that just wont bleed in spite of constant pricking

The argument has lost some weight it looks emancipated
A hand that covers nose and mouth is so sophisticated

And Julio and Fraudian and Matrix and Domitian
They turn a card and say Engarde Inertia and Ambition

But all Ambition has attrition's
Rotted core of superstition

Proudly swearing Motown diction
But Detroits not Greek tradition

While the dervish twirls and spins
It spits its jester juice and grins

And marks itself both bought and sold
With one black pen and one of gold.
