There Are Disorders

There are disorders
at the borders
and the margins
of our minds.

We capture rapture
then we shatter
what we gather
into tatters that no longer
really matter;
primal need to make believe
in mythical mythologies.

("For every action (force) there is an
equal and an opposite reaction."
Sir Isaac Newton's Third Law Of Motion.)

Underneath
a blanket of blue constellations
man first observed a sunburst curve to
wild and brilliant, multi-colored,
enigmatic energies
with cosmic patterns spinning shifting
images across the sky.

This spoke to man's supposed soul
through universal infinites;
prolific and prophetic
nuance of wisdom in stars.

Man began to scrape
the rocks;
grind rocks down
to fine dust powders:

first to paint the face of man,
then to heal the ills of man;
then to mix with molten iron
so steel would bend to will of man.

This thirst to strip his life
of mysteries began to fan
around the world of man;
the safe and magic days
of truth found through
configurations in the stars
began to fade away - far away.

("The fault, dear Brutus,
is not in our stars but in
ourselves, that we are underlings."
Cassius speaking to Brutus from
"Julius Caesar" by Will Shakespeare.)

Dear easy, welcome to emule! I am impressed with your poem. Beautifully crafted and very musical to my ear! However, I do to an extent disagree with some implications your words carry such as:

We capture rapture
then we shatter
what we gather
into tatters that no longer
really matter;

"Disorder" is good, and sometimes things need to "...no longer/really matter" so that a re-order can take place for worse or for better!

Be well.

I agree, "disorder" is good and should "no longer really matter" then raptures are placed in contextual importance so "re-order" can and invarialbly does take place. Chronic stasis is living death. Thanks for the read and comment. Most honored. tom

Hey easy,

enjoyed your poem!
don't we still gaze up at the stars for "truth" with ever increasing accuracy?
