“The Rain, It Raineth Every Day.”

He watches the water held by clay.
The torrent passes him by:
Stasis is movement when
The sky can’t find itself...

Earth, sky, labor and pain
The song sings itself
Like an old refrain
Long after the lyrics...

It sits on the shelf
Yellow and stale,
Fading on pages --
“This life is like a mountain pool...

Stagnant and cruel."

note: I added another line to this depressing tune. btw, the title's from that ditty in Shakespeare's play [the movie version anyway].
