I am a believer in the promise of mankind

my spirit shakes the walls
of its cage of skin and bones
elated and charged
by the gift of breath and desire
and the hope of vast potential

my soul resonates at frequencies
that rock my very foundation
and faith charged elation
makes me want to proclaim
I am a believer

we are only chained in our minds
and limited by the same
bound by the misconception
that we are born,
and meant to struggle

I feel the energy mounting
for adventures still in store
the memories I will make
and a soul that will endure
an eternity of joy

I am a believer in the promise of mankind

I agree with this sentiment, Sherry. The lines

I feel the energy mounting
for adventures still in store
the memories I will make

particularly voice how I feel each day [or at least most days].

Be well,

Peter

Peter, thanks for the bump. Seems like the ones (like this one) that I really like don't get much feedback and the ones I almost don't post because I think they are crap, everyone likes...lol. I guess you just never know. I'm particularly pleased that you like this one.

Sherry
