I think each generation of humankind
has probably reveled
in a sense of self-importance
of surpassing the reach
of those who came before
I think we've been the same
since mankind dawned
bold, but fragile
challenged by hopefulness
and ravaged with insecurity
all seeking our greater purpose
in caves, in pyramids
in churches, and brothels
in mansions and skyscrapers
and rockets to the moon
and 2000 years of civilization
has thought they were living
in the end of times
awaiting fire and angels
great wars and redemption
awaiting the great reckoning
and the return of the Son
who already walks within
the souls of every man
and has since ascending...
I think each generation
will struggle to strive
to struggle for the sake of struggle
because we are raised to think
that it's supposed to be hard
But as for me,
I am finally ready
to choose to take it easy
and enjoy the simplicity
and bewilderment of living
But as for me,
I am finally ready
to choose to take it easy
and enjoy the simplicity
and bewilderment of living

Good for you! I'm not there yet, but I'm striving and struggling to get there.
This is loaded with thought-provoking phrases. Good stuff.

Well, Joe, it's a process, right? I am ready to choose to do so, but I'm still working on "choosing to do so"...hehe. Thanks for taking the time to read this and for commenting.
