always present II.
In the afternoon sun
My gut says:
Don’t ignore your love for her.
always present
I.
behind my consciousness,
perception of taste:
pancakes and syrup on my tongue,
or my looking out the afternoon window –
behind the voice inside I call myself,
I feel from the rising pressure
in my diaphragm,
my body telling me
the depth of my feeling for her –
[never mind mere sex and other people’s opinions]
makes its presence a force,
turns my body into
a communication system,
so my love for her tells me
‘Do not ignore me.’
