A poetess of heartlessness embarked upon her faithfulness
And overhauled the optics of her most inanest cousins
So infamous voluptuous seeks vengeance for tomorrow
In the standardized dilemma and the doubts of desecration
And she crumpled her ingratitude and baffled all aboard
The cryogenics using Orphan’s tears for there’s a large supply

There are indeed too many orphans, Johnny.
I had a hard time reading:
'And she crumpled her ingratitude and baffled all aboard the cryogenics using' - be that's ok.
Happy Dohilays.

...and the soup lines lengthen, good read Johnny.
Les
Peter, do you mean like it was too much of a tongue-twister? Because I always try to make it not so
Thanks Les
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night
I think Peter means that that line has too many syllables. I tend to agree, though Les seems willing to explain it as a soup line. Does the extra length symbolise a second helping? Presumably Peter would have no problem if the last two lines read:
And she crumpled her ingratitude and baffled all by using
Orphan’s tears for syllables for there’s a large supply
but of course that would play havoc with the meaning.
More brandy butter anyone?
I have reformated it accordingly
Thanks for the consideration, Johnny...I really didn't mean to butt in. Meanwhile, I'm trying to reformat myself for the New Year...I went form 176 pounds yesterday to 174 this morning....only 20 more to go.
amo,
Peter
I too am working hard on becoming what I was when I graduated from the Unconvential Warfare Training Center, back in '62. However, if I am ever seen at below 180, it will be considered a viewing, not a sighting. I've gone from 240 to 225 since August.
Oh, and the cancer is back.
Back? When was it there in the first place?
A few years ago, I had an experimental operation wherein they removed a chunk of my liver and about three inches of my colon. A bout with chemo and a "pronounced clean" later I was feeling pretty good. This time we caught it real quick with a colonoscopy, one tiny batch of malignant cells. One more quick surgery and all should be well. Will report back.
triple triple "argh, merc.
you've been in my prayers a lot lately. i'll keep you there.
Take a look over on General Discussion for the thread called "My Poem???"
