it's barely winter
the holiday season
is already working it's magic
black and white
and as usual
I'm somewhere in the middle
of both spells
the season
so poignant a reminder
of blessings and memories
not all good
of great loves
and losses
seem somehow magnified
by the bells and jolly
and the have nots
all the more aware
of what they're lacking-
if only everyone
could share a little better
of their hearts
their wealth
their talents
then the enlightening
would dismiss
the overcasting grays
and all could finally
revel in the Son
Nicely done, Sherry, the last two lines reminded me of a Paul McCartney song for some reason: [www.sing365.com] />

thanks, Les. I'm glad you liked it....I'll chek the song.
You've touched on something as we approach the holiday season, Sherry. There are even more in need this year than some past years. I especially like these lines:
and the have nots
all the more aware
of what they're lacking-
if only everyone
could share a little better
of their hearts
their wealth
their talents
