Waiting In Style

It’s not really a virtue,
but patience is an element
-If you’ll pardon my point of view-
in this, indirectly, man made moment.

Towards where my destiny steers?
Out of control, yet still in control
-a clichéd paradox to ponder-;
accidentally out of this hole.

If it’s as good as the real thing,
then I’d rather be…

AngelsFear,

A piece that requires patience in the end.

Good work.

Peter

You haven't changed much. You're still pretty good.

Patience is an element?
Yes, I'll accept that it feels that way.
Nice contemplation.

It certainly seems elemental...though in a complex sort of way.

Thank you Peter.

Thank you Merc. I really appreciate your comment.

Thanks Steevo. Good to see you back .

Mittens. thanks for dropping by. Actually I don't have much words to say.

I have taken so many detours in my life and with it, I found worthwhile endeavours than my actual goals in life. In fact, what is supposedly "minor" is now "major".

God Bless You Guys and Gal. More power to 'Mule

hey angel,

if you look at how a river travels to the ocean, well it travels much the way you've just indicated in your post. it's only in manmade water ways that we have straight paths from the spring to the sea.

A good read, AF.

Mittengirl - I have never thought of a river. Nice thought. Well, It goes to prove that a river is a good "analogy" for patience. How the water finds its way to the ocean.

Les - Thank you for the nice quotation.

It's been quite a while since I have written a poem. I mean sometimes we become a sort of a "poem machine" that the resulting poems we write are no longer enjoyable. So I tried to focus on my job and avoid the temptation on playing with words for almost 5 months - if I'm not mistaken. Then I waited for that moment when my inspiration about life is in a sort of a high, and that moment was when I wrote this poem.

Thank you obiwan. It feels good to know that people feel good about what you do whether it's poetry or otherwise. That's why I like emule.

I'm gonna try doing that too Angels,
take a break...
So poetic inspiration is kinda like money supply and inflation eh? hehe
