From Peter's comment on Dusk Marks Time:

A pronoun throughout for consistency
Is what I'm attempting to do
We'll make it all coldish and distancy
And avoid all the vagueness of 'you.'

dang, guess i'll have to wait for the national day of you, beings as how i liked the poem with "you" instead of with me.

(always a day late and a dollar short)

A pronoun throughout for consistency
Is what you're attempting to see
I propose lots of warmth and intimacy
And invite in the closeness of 'we.'

Perhaps not a very successful play with your words, but I was tempted!

plus which, I replied over on the other forum that the poetry of Elizabeth Barrett Browning was beyond any understanding or comprehension due to her extensive use of opiates.

So far, no one has disputed this

I'm sure the late Victor Borge would have been happy to be the patron of National Punctuation Day.

my sister in law won't use commas, because it's impolite to tell people when to breathe.
