Jesus, he's so beautiful
spreading across my horizon
like sun split skies at dusk

holding me closely with intent
I slip inside his heart
marking time as he breathes

like the wind rushing
through the corn fields
on a hot August night

he moves through me
and awakens me
like imagination stirs the world

One can feel the power of your faith here, Frosty. This is a great read.

I thought it was a love poem. But then, when I was growing up, that's what I thought most hymns were.

good job, Frosty.

Peter, it IS a love poem...the opening line does refer to Jesus, but the he is not Jesus, it's the object of the love poem...

In reading it again, I see how Les thought it was spiritual, as though, I was naming the he in the poem as being Jesus. That's what I love about poetry-the way it can mean something different to each reader.

thanks for taking the time,

Sherry
