Hark! Hark! The angels sing, 'tis nearly Christmas Day,
When celebrations everywhere, I heard the angels say,
Will cast a light upon the world to open sleepy eyes,
When is recalled, a single star, that beckoned from the skies.
Alas! Alas! The tiny babe, the man who would be King!
Has come at last to save the world, I heard the angels sing.
Upon a bed of straw, he lay, no room had they for Him
No eyes for creatures of the wood, no ears for seraphim.
Wisdom traveled from afar, to see the Holy child
Clothed in swaddled mercy, bearing gifts to meek the wild.
Born in flesh of Mary, Holy Mother without sin
Foretold would be His death, but that He will come again.
'Tis nearly Christmas Day, when in the spirit we will hear
Angels singing in the voices of the people far and near.
Let us open ears and eyes, to the hymn of their accord
For the coming of the Savoir, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Merry Christmas to all at e-mule!

I have respect for all religions as I believe we all worship One God and He is manifested in different ways to different peoples.
Peace.

Wow, what a beautiful poem. It certainly helped put me in the Christmas mood and reminded me why I'm fighting my way through the masses in the malls. Thanks for that
Merry Christmas!

What a happy poem! I love it!
"Loving people is like farting in the wind; You don't actually accomplish anything, but you feel better."
~The Great and Powerful Angelia~
Thanks Les, Kim, and Angelia. This can be a hectic time, but the feelings when we get together with our friends and family make it all worth it.

This almost sounds like it could be a Christmas Carol - very pretty and enjoyed the message.

Nice job Marty, merry Christmas.

Bump for the season.
I definitely remember this, Mary. Why I didn't comment on it 5 years ago is a mystery. Nevertheless, this is truly excellent and could surely could be a Christmas carol as Christy said. You know I appreciate rhythm and rhyme and this presents both very well. Merry Christmas.
Joe
Thanks, Joe. I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas too!
