the memory escaping
the mind cage
just as you fought
to escape
the confines
you imagined,
my love
a strong held
sense
of restlessness
trust
that I understand
the need for
grass blades of summer
between my toes
and the
lick
of autumn wind
across my cheek
remind me
why it has to change
before we are
ready
hold tighter
just this once
before the release
I held my breath
hoping to suspend
the tick
tock
shake me
back
inhale again
before the last
grain of sand falls
and my
hour glass
shapes
no more
and then, farewell
Allow life to treat you well and be determined to make it great.
frosty, I like the wya this sounds being read out loud. Its lines sound like quick breathing as if in a race with time. Beautiful images here:

thanks, KQ.

is my favorite part.
Allow life to treat you well and be determined to make it great.
My mind automatically went to....frosty the snow man...
oops.......anyway......I like the poem very much. Very expressive! Groovy!
"Loving people is like farting in the wind; You don't actually accomplish anything, but you feel better."
~The Great and Powerful Angelia~
the poem
just
turns and turns,
as the feelings
it expresses
twist and turn
through the words,
through the speaker
to the audience
the the poet
herself
in the breath of her
string of images
flickering through the light
she keeps for each of us
just this once
before the release
we take a chance,
all we have on our side
against the breaking glass
the ache off our ribs
the trivial curse
in the spider web
the Sanskrit prophesy:
This Too Shall Pass
we don't need so much
to hold on and hold up
just push through
the moment
will take care of itself
the breathe between
the lines
let a little light through
anyway

Allow life to treat you well and be determined to make it great.
Good job Frosty, I enjoyed the reflection and realization of time passing.
Les
the tick
tock
shake me
back
sounds soo good, breaks the rhythmical smoothness with fun
les, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Allow life to treat you well and be determined to make it great.
Peter, I often like to throw in something like that to shake things up a bit.
Allow life to treat you well and be determined to make it great.
bump...just felt like reliving/posting this one again.
