Try Sylvia Plath. She is wonderful and certainly has a \"dark side.\"

...in that direction also try Anne Sexton--morbid but great imagery. On a little lighter side Edna St. Vincent Millay and Sara Teasdale both experiment with the dark side in some of their poems (and are very wonderful writers in their own right.)
