Wasn't that a tv show in the late 50s, "The Protectors." I think it wa about a company that make conundrums.
but he's not acting like an overcoat, he's acting like what's IN the overcoat
You know, if
one person, just one person
does it they may think he's really sick and
they won't take him.
And if two people, two people do it, in harmony,
they may think they're both faggots
and they won't take either of them.
And three people do it, three, can you imagine,
three people walking in
singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and walking out.
They may think it's an
organization.
And can you, can you imagine fifty people a day,I said
fifty people a day walking in singin a bar of Alice's Restaurant and
walking out.
And friends they may thinks it's a movement.

Am I the only one that doesn't understand? What about princess Wilhelmina? The one of the Netherlands?
Oh, Desi, thank you, thank you. And I thought I was the only one who didn't understand. The only thing that came through with any clarity was the quote from "Alice's Restaurant"--glad you posted that, Johnny; it has always been one of my favorites.
Sorry, I was responding to Johnny's Churchill post with a similar one from the movie Galaxy Quest. (If you haven't seen it, it's a spoof of Star Trek)
It's clearer on threaded view.

Don't let that stop you from posting a comment. I never let it stop me.
Not a clue! Like Marian-NYC, I will happily add to the confusion, though.

.... Right. Why is it every time I try to find something very witty answer my mind goes completely blank?
Couldn't even find poetry by Wilhelmina.

Perhaps that's the reason why some poems of the past are hard to analyze- Blake, Dickinson, et al were applying to the poetry contests of the day.

Wilhelmina Hemmingway definitely has some Vogon blood.
Saw the movie yesterday....I liked a lot about it but it lacked the charm of the original
disliked the Guide graphics....originals far far superior in my opinion
"Original" graphics. Good one!
I liked the scene with Princess W. and the Onion.
The one where she cries?
