Has the New Year affected this website, or is it me?

A few days ago I tried to post, and the 'form' that comes up didn't have my name and e-mail address on it, so I had to log in (the first time for many months). Then today all the posts came up collapsed (I normally use it in flat view all the time and it comes up like that) and as well as that, my 'form' details had gone again and I had to log in again. That meant all the posts came up as 'new' so I took a while finding my bearings. What's going on?

Marian, the website was down this afternoon, but the symptoms you're describing are probably on your end. If you have the time, try shutting down your computer, and then restarting it. If you are able to log-in successfully after shutting down, then the problem is with your computer, probably the browser settings. If you are not able to log on, then your settings here have been changed.

Thanks, for your advice Les - shutting down didn't affect it so it must have been the site going down both times . We often rebooot the computer after installing stuff or updating antivirus (I say 'we' but mean the guy who knows what he's doing rather than this klutz who just uses the keyboard when he's at work) and it has never been known to affect the e-mule settings, so I think it must have been something to do with the website being down. It's OK now, though, but I was worried that some change to the site meant I was going to have to log on and reset the site every day and wanted to know if there was some new procedure to avoid it.

They've been having problems with their web server, Peter. Read the last several posts here:

When the site is down, I start obsessively checking to see if it's up....checking more than I would if it WERE up !
