Search for a childhood poem

I am trying to find a poem my parents read to me and my 6 siblings when we were very young. It told the story a a little boy named Augustus. Augustus starts out as a hardy lad but by the end of the poem, due to his refusal to eat his soup, he dies of starvation and is as skinny as a string. Any help locating this poem would be very much appreciated. Thanks.J

Kind regards,
Anthony.

Johnathan,
This is the poem you are looking for.It was read out to me on the telephone so the punctuation is not quite correct.

Story of Augustus who would not have any soup. By Dr Heinrich Hoffman.
Augustus was a chubby lad,fat ruddy cheeks Augustus had,and everybody saw with joy,the plump and harty healthy boy.He ate and drank as he was told, and never let his soup get cold.
But one day, one cold winters day,he screamed out\' take the soup away\' oh take the nasty soup away,i wont have any soup today.
Next day begins his tale of woes, quite lank and lean Augustus grows.Yet though he feels so week and ill, the naughty fellow cries out still,\'Not any soup for me,, i say,oh take the nasty soup away, i wont have any soup today.
The third day comes,oh what a sin,to make himself so pale and thin.Yet when the soup is put on table, he screams as loud as he is able,\'not any soup for me i say. oh take the nasty soup away! I wont have any soup today.
Look at him, now the fourth days come! he scarcely weighs a sugar plum, hes like a little bit of thread, and on the fifth day he was dead.

Kind Regards ,
Anthony, England.
