Its Rudy's fault

Rudy kicked the cable. Down the box went for 8 - 10 hours.

(only joking)

The box decided it wanted a vacation this holiday and wanted to be rebooted. We successfully rebooted around noon, eastern time. Sorry for the inconvience.

Best,

Aaron

Here in NYC we no longer blame things on Rudy. Nowadays we blame them on Mike.

Aaron, it's reassuring to know e-mule's still kicking. For a while I thought it might be a problem like this:

I assumed it was my fault.

I assumed it was the trials of switching to broadband.

DEBBIE: Duke, let's go do some crimes.
DUKE: Yeah. Let's go get sushi and not pay.

(Repo Man)

I was going to use the quote about Duke blaming society, but I like this one so much better

Strange--I too thought it was Glenda's fault.

You, Madam, are wise beyond your years. :)

We are back again after another outtage. Alas, it appears the server (or more likely the hard drive) is near mandatory retirement age. The overall system continues to refuse to work without better working conditions. We hope to have a replacement strategy soon. Until then we may take periodic breaks from the World-Wide-Web.

Blast the Unions of the world!

Best,

Aaron

Replacement strategy:

seek sponsorship for sending retired hard disk on a well deserved trip to the bahamas.

Steal hard disk's travel checks to train replacement hard disk.

May one respectfully suggest the drive should get a back up to tape or other media as a precaution against losing the whole megilla?

I'm reduced to having my English (Yiddish?) corrected by non-native speakers. How embarrassing.

I'm reduced to having a dictionary explain me nearly all of your posts. Very embarrassing. :-)

WE ARE BACK! Yet again. This time someone hacked into the battery backup unit which supplied power to our server. Of all the things I never thought would cause a failure! Oh well. We really are having a bad string of luck keeping things running. I will keep you updated.

Outage: 12:04pm Eastern 1/5/2022 - 6:40pm Eastern 1/5/2005.

Best,

Aaron

It doesn't matter - I wave my hands and they all scatter
Flies in the batter - they take the rise out of my cake
It doesn't matter - I've eaten s*** that's gone much flatter
Flies in the batter - I let them in - it's my mistake
