sorry i'm not thAT GOOD AT pucuatimay have noticed
Dear CW,
When someone you know commits suicide, that's a serious trauma for YOU, and it puts you seriously at risk for depression, anxiety, and suicidal impulses yourself. You need and deserve to get help with that, and so do your other friends.
It's very important for you to speak with a real live person about this. Replies from an on-line forum can be serious or silly, or may not come at all. We are not counselors.
If your school has counselors, go to one.
If your school doesn't have counselors, or if you think the school counselors are lousy, then go to someone else (an adult) whom you trust. Even if all they can do is LISTEN TO YOU, that will be much better for you than laying it all out for strangers on a website -- even nice strangers.
i agree with the grl your school has counselors
Just want to add that for a lot of people the time you go to school is the most horrible time ever (for me included). After that things get better, so don't give up!!!
I agree CW...School SUCKS... So bad i think sitting here in class i'm going to shoot my self...here goes...appreciate the advice!
Jimmy doesn't like misunderstandings
thats from the perspective of an american or european, i suppose
well look at this way
the asians have no trouble pushing their children
the statistics show for themselves
so what exactly is wrong with the europeans and americans
go fig.
Some pretty wide blanket statements being thrown around here.
I loved school. Still do. Couldn't wait to get there. Hated to leave.
Just an opinion from somebody who doesn't fit under any of these blankets.
Jack
totally opposite for me, Jack !
How do you feel about pushing asian children? I'd do it !
and why aren't they pushing them into Driver's Education courses?
Riddle me this !
Jsans-
This thread is about suicide, not youth-in-asia!
Jack
i hate you
or rather, i hate myself for not thinking of it first !
It was all right there. I'm surprized you didn't stumble on it.
If only it stopped after grade school or high school! There are idiots in college as well. And in life after school, too. Jerks in the business world, numbskulls in the realm of sports, bores to be found at social events, rude sales people in stores when all you want to do is give them your money. I could go on at length. Sad, really.
So, what's the solution? Can't beat 'em, join 'em? Be a hermit and live in a cave. Eat a gun, inhale CO2 or take a flying leap from a building?
Woe is me, sigh.
I fail to see the poetry in this.
Les
Les, if he formatted it differently, line breaks and poem-stuff like that, then it is certainly no worse than what is often offered as such
See there, Amanda? There are even rude fans throwing popcorn and drinks down at you on the internet!
Kidding. Just kidding.
There are even rude fans throwing popcorn and drinks down at you on the internet!
Johnny's not a rude FAN, he's a rude performer.
Les
better than a prude reformer !
I think that even though people pressure you so much youy ant to do things even more than just sit in class people make it sound like school is such a great thing but realy they don't even teach the real morals in lfe like how to protect yourself all my school teach s me are gay boring subjects
cw, this is in response to you. I think kids who are not appreciated at home are more likely to feel pressure in school. If they find appreciation from peers or elsewhere, that kind of balances it. But if no appreciation is forthcoming from anywhere, then kids will lose themselves in hobbies or interests like music, stamp or card collecion etcetera because that makes them feel loved and appreciated.
Moreover, it is not the responsibility of the school to look after you and your welfare, only to teach you how to make a living, not, how to make a life. You need to learn that yourself so don't blame the school. The responsibility to look after you lies with your parents' or your guardians' and also with you. Everyone finds school hard or boring at times, life isn't just one plain sailing or a bed of roses, if expectation like that is there that life be just one plain sailing, all the more disappointment arises.
If you find school boring, then you need to cultivate some interest, no other can do it for you.
Hugh, I don't know why but I really liked your response.
I will try to do better.
Yes school is tough, life is tough but every now and then something happens that makes you think it's all OK. a word or gesture from someone you love, a spontaneous event thouroughly enjoyable. Then you sit back and think well this is what its all about. Every day has an example of that. Friends, family, lovers, and even pets can make you feel needed and loved 'cos isn't that all we yearn for.
There are times when all looks bleak but it's never as bad as we think and even if it is think of what you have learnt and can pass on to the young ones who are all angst and dipping in and out of bad places.
Isolation is the worst as long as you know that you are not alone and what you feel has happened to someone else then that can help you take some control.
Hey life is good look at all the poetry around, this will tell you that others have felt the same but that the world is beautiful and full of surpprises, life is worth living.
