Art?

I do not look through this section of the forums much, but i have been writing and reading poems from this forum for a while, in fact, it has been my soul resource for fellow contemperary poetry. I was wondering though, What ever happend to the art section they are supposed to add? Me, being an artist would find this forum an exellent place to display my work, mainly water color, pen, and charcoal. Perhaps if another section of the forums was added, perhaps just to post images and get critiques just like the posted poetry section... I think it would be a great idea.

Young, according to the latest post by Aaron, the moderator, the art project is on the back burner. Here's what Aaron and Kevin had to say about the project last month:

Sounds as if it would eat up a lot of disk space, no?

Eratosphere has an art section, which I don't read, so I am not sure if it fits your purposes or not:

Well, according to my limited knowlege of webservers, all that would be required is making these forums have the ability to post images, like embedded html. Or an even simplier programming, or even simplier yet, just linking to servers. iM talking about being able to upload pictures or photos onto this server, just make them capable of posting it, and create a new section of the forum. Then people could upload there images on thrid party servers, like www.photobucket.com or something related... I dont even think the bandwith would have to be increased, unless a lot of artists came to visit e-mule, and even if so... wouldnt that be a good thing?

Perhaps it is a good idea, I dunno. I'm not sure what it has to do with poetry, though. And, surely there are numerous such sites already available?

Quite a few people at the poetry forum I run,
[allpoetry.com]

do a style of image-poetry, where they post an image and a poem along with it. Some call it 'photoku' (like haiku), etc.
[allpoetry.com]

is one guy who does a lot of them... Allpoetry is great for feedback, averaging 5 per poem, many with several dozen. Getting pretty popular lately with 450 people online evenings.
