poetry about conquering land

Im looking for poetry dealing with conquering land/manifest destiny for a paper. I want to parallel the elitist quest to conquer land with the laymen's quest to conquer women. If anyone has suggestions, I would love the help.

Put "conquest" in the search field

I just did that and got 77 hits. Glancing at the first few hits, it seems to me that AT LEAST two of them use "conquest" as a metaphor, comparing conquest of land to conquest of a person.

So there are probably a few among the 77 that you can use.
