i am writing a poem for a festival and i need ideas for it!! i am 10 years old and i love to write!!!

It is also a good idea to model your poem after a poem you really like. I'm not saying copy the words; that would be wrong. However, you may want to use the same rhyme scheme and beat that your favorite poem uses. In the middle school where I teach, many of the students like to write poems that have similar patterns to their favorite Dr. Seuss rhyme. They say that it helps them when they start to write their own.
